Here at Woodland Echoes we have 48 miles of navigable waterways, and home to large and small mouth bass, walleye, northern pike as well as several species of pan fish.

On our website www. woodlandechoes. on.ca/ahmic .htm you will find fishing tips and articles written about our 5 area lakes, there is also a map of the lake you can download for free.

Our fishing package includes:

-Wide Beam boat with a 15 HP motor

- Gas, fish finder, and live well

-All live bait and lake fishing map

- 2 meals (breakfast and dinner) served in our licensed dining room

- accommodation in a cozy waterfront cottage with private outdoor hot tub or 2 person jacuzzi in the master bedroom, a fireplace, walkout deck, and Muskoka Chairs

-Complimentary and unlimited use or our extensive recreation facilities including:

- sand beach with sauna, water slide, swimming raft

- canoes, kayaks and paddle boats

Riding at Riverside Ranch

People from Woodland Echoes Resort have been riding horses and ponies from Riverside Ranch for over 20 years!

The Ranch is situated about 10 minutes from the resort in the glorious Chapman Valley with the Distress River flowing through the farm of rolling hills and quiet forest. There are horses and ponies for all levels of riders. If you have never ridden before, you can enjoy the woodland trails on the back of a quiet, cooperative horse and make a new friend. You can see the wild flowers in the fields to the forest plants and trees along the trails. This will be an unforgettable experience to add to your holiday!

Trumpeter Swans at Woodland Echoes

For the past 3 years we have been lucky enough to have a rare and endangered Trumpeter Swan come to our waterfront and entertain our guests. This is the largest flighted bird in Ontario . At the resort you will have "a chance of a life time" to see close up a graceful and beautiful bird. The bird stays around all year. In winter he can be seen along with "friends", other swans, in the open waters under the bridge in Magnetawan. Bring a camera!

Icelandic Horse Trail Riding

Woodland Echoes in parnership with Clear Lake Farms is offering a full day of trail riding on Icelandic Horses. Clear Lake is one of the only stables in Ontario offering an opportunity to ride Icelandics and experience the "Tolt".... Riding was never so smooth! The Trans Canada Trail in Magnetawan

Since 1995 the Trans Canada Trail has passed through the Magnetawan area by way of the old Rosseau Nipissing Development Road. Woodland Echoes Resort is located just off the road/trail. Recently there have been a number of historic location markers added. This has made your experance exploring the trail a little more interesting. This is one more activity you can enjoy when you are planning your vacation here.
